In addition to the information communicated in my letter to you of the 30th of September last, respecting the accounts of the line of Georgia, I do myself the honor to inform you, that the amount of the certificates that would have been issued in the officers of that line would have been 78,179 90/100 Dollars had not the legislature of that state interposed and made payments to officers after the first day of August 1790. That the sum which I actually issued to the line is 103,065 20/100 dollars part of which was agreed for services prior & beyond 1790 in consequence of the State assuming so considerable a proportion of the pay of the line after that Period —
