Major John Davidson drew from me on June 13. 1782 the Sum of 1826 dollars which was charged to Robert Denny, but you in your Account current with Mr Denny charge him with the Sum of 6158 dollars which he Accounts for in the Body of his Account. I find myself at a [undecipherable] to where [undecipherable] I must place the sum of 1339, which is the Balance over what I charge him, will you be so kind, if it is in your Power to inform;

Your Letter of the 14 May last was received and Entered according to your desire as an Evidence that your Claim was presented to me prior to August last. Your Letter of the 29 July last was also handed me Yesterday. You are returned in the Arrangements of the Maryland line as having resigned your Commission in the Army on the 21 day of April 1781 which precludes your
