October 27 1786 Copied New York October 27th 1786 Dear Sir Major Jno Davidson drew from me on June 18th 13th. 1782 the sum of 4826 Dols which was charged to Robt Denny, but you in your account current with Mr Denny charge him with the sum of 6158 Dols which [he accounts for in the entry of his] account I find myself at a loss to whose credit the overplus which I must place the sum of 1332 which is the ballance over what I charge him — will you be so kind, if it is in your power to inform me?
