I have attended to your ration Acct against the United States and Wish that you would please to procure the Approbation of Congress prior to my Settlement of it the General Officers not being Confined to any determinate quantity of rations a Particular Commissary can [not?] do necessary from the whole Accounts of the deliveries should be procured or that they make out from their own Knowledge the quantity that they have received of such manner as they may attest to it — neither of which I suppose can be found so as to Ascertain your Claim with Sufficient Certainty.
