Dear Sir
Inclosed you will receive the return of monies advanced to sundry Soldiers of the Maryland line with a certificate of the Credits given said State by sundries of Hazen Regiment and his Legion — also the Bill of Joel Lamb & some letters of James Burr which from the hurry now men in at your departure were left in the Office —
The Blue Book as you term it, is also due, and when a good conveyance offers will be forwarded —

In answer to yours of the 28th Ulto received this day — I have to inform you that no part of the Supernumerarys pay is charged to Capt Waugh on this settlement of his accounts with you. Capt Waugh has received that pay of Mr Dungan P. M. to the Regiment of which I have now informed Mr Nicholson
