I did myself the honor to enclose you on the [undecipherable] depositions relating to the people who have sold [undecipherable] be fited certificates— at the same time I suggested as [undecipherable] that if it was possible to procure one above the Agents employed by Morrill, to confess his knowledge of the transaction, it would be of advantage, Morrill in bringing them to justice— I have [undecipherable] been [undecipherable] that this will be the end, as the having them actually appear as [undecipherable] has not been sufficient to [undecipherable] their [undecipherable] from where [undecipherable] it was.
