The Commissioner for Settling the Accounts of the Army, to whom was referred on the 28 June last the Petition of Duncan Campbell — Begs leave to Report —
That Mr Campbell has Exhibited an Account No 1 for expenses on an Expedition ordered by General Arnold Amounting to Seventeen pounds one Shilling V3d. which Account your Commissioner begs leave to Observe has been already paid in a Settlement made by Mr Campbell at Albany in May 1777.
That he Exhibits the Accounts No 2 & 3 for Advances made to his Men in Canada. Amounting to One hundred & thirty Seven dollars. which your Commissioner is of Opinion cannot be allowed, not only for Want of Vouchers, but because that in a Settlement made with the Petitioner at Crown Point in July 1776. these were Presidents [strikethrough: the]
