Eliphalet Nonis passed two forged Settlement Counterfeit Certificates for One thousand dollars Each made out in favor of Archibald Graham or Bearer to Cap Thomas Barnes who also passed them to Simeon, who also passed one of them to Deacon [undecipherable] who passed it also to [undecipherable] Wheeler and his Brother of Grafton who finding it to be bad returned it to the Deacon afterwards Imployed one Abijah Hammond to sell it without Effect the other Certificate [undecipherable: Turna] attempted to sell it in different ways, for that Purpose he put into the Hands of [undecipherable] Maston [undecipherable]ker in Boston then left it with M.d [undecipherable] who was informed by me of its being bad [undecipherable] Board it this every Stage of this Business rests in the first mentioned
