Above is an account of pay due me for my Services in the 4th Jersey regiment in the years 1777 and 1778 which I have never received, and understand that all such claims not exhibited to you before the 1st of August next will be excluded, I therefore request you will admit the above account on your files as a claim on my part for settlement of an account of pay, the Paymaster Mr Absalom Martin being at the [undecipherable] with Mr Hutchins the [undecipherable] cannot at present [be?] stated with precision
but is Right and beg you will have the goodness to permit me to adjust the same so soon as Mr Martin's return may [put?] it in my power
