The two companies were ordered to the rapids of the Ohio by Major North the first oppertunity occurring after the resolve of the 22nd of June, he left this city on the 28th of June and is probably by this time at Fort Pitt, and perhaps at the Muskingham. Colonel Harmar with nami the officer who shall command the detachment. I requested to know at the office of the Secretary of Congress whether it was expected that I should transmit the resolve of Congress of the 30th of June to the Governor of Virginia and was informed that it had been already trans- mitted from that Office.
