[to Publish this Act w^ch I have Inclosed as my Answer to his assertions.] Sam^br [PP] Col^o Oswald Sir: New York June 30. 1786 In Answer to your application in behalf of Col^o Pannie, Late of the Georgia Line, I do my self the honor to inform you that when I was in Georgia I had consultation with the Auditor General of the State & the principal Officers of the Line. we Examined into the different arrangements the Regimental Records, the Minutes & Papers of the State, & made out jointly the Enclosed history of the Arrangement deaths & Resignations of the Officers, where in the Col^o is returned a Resign on the first day of January 1781 — as this Arrangement has heretofore been Considered by me as binding, and delivered [strikethrough: & transmitted] into the Secretary at War for his Approbation & record.
