Sir
A part of the Invalid Regiment were retained at West Point after the discharge of the Army and received from me the several sums set against their respective Names contain'd in the enclosed Account — An Act of Congress of the 7th June last having now placed the whole of the Invalids entitled to a pension from the United States on one footing and of course reduced those who were continued after the discharge of the Army to the same allowances as those who went to their Homes, their Accounts are therefore enclosed to you that you may be enabled to charge the persons that belong to your State with such sums as they have received which are to be considered as part of their pension granted by the above mentioned Resolution and accounted for to the United States
