[blacked out] These blanks have been filled up by some person, unknown to us, and my [blacked out] [undecipherable]- [blacked out] Official signatures were [affixed] on them. and yesterday a man, was taken up for selling [blacked out] of these forged securities. he calls himself Joseph Noyes. he says he was born in Stingham but served his time as a shoe-maker [undecipherable] in Pembroke in New Hampshire — he is about 5 feet 6 inches in height — and is two or three and twenty years of age — he says he bought these certificates last fall at Kingston in N. Hampshire of a James Johnston who belonged to Concord or Sudbury in the state of Massachu- setts — The delegates of the State having [undecipherable] thought it advisable to [undecipherable] endeavors to [undecipherable] to [undecipherable] as [undecipherable] acquire as much infor- mation as is in my power respecting these from the places they belong to — people, and [undecipherable] [undecipherable] respecting the [undecipherable] to [undecipherable] have [undecipherable] to [blacked out] although I must recommend not to you Sir, as a Gentleman, whose influence and disposition well lead [him] to [undecipherable] [Now] make inquiries for respecting [undecipherable] [blacked out] [blacked out] [undecipherable] [blacked out].
