Dr. Sir,

There is a widow of a William Jackson of Cap. Gibb Jones’s Compy. of Indept. Artillery, kill’d at the battle of Brandewine, as said, who applies for his depreciation from 1 Jany. 1777, or subsequent period if inlisted afterwards until his death — Would you be pleased to certify after examining the rolls —

There is also the widow of James Crosby, 2d. Reg. died 1779 at Somerset forgets the Captain’s name: in the same predicament —
