Fenner 10 June 1786 Copied New York June 10 1786 Dr Sir The enclosed account will shew you the respective sums due to the officers of the North Carolina Line, which will to compleat their pay for the years 1782 & 1783 — You will see that there is not included in it the disputed cases what referred to the Secrety. at War. The deductions for monies and articles received I hope may meet with a concurrence. If not, I will rectify any instances which may appear to be improper. Much greater difficulties than what have respected the pay, impede the prosecution of procuring the business is sufficient, the subsistence still due to the officers and the arrears of the non Commissioned Officers & Privates, these claims shall however be attended to in their order and the amount rendered as soon as possible. The Board of Treasury are so low in resources, that they cannot make scarcely make this payment. JP Major Fenner
