Land Baker as I have charges unst[r]iped which will not only
absorb the specie that was coming to him, but also then will be

Mr Rudolph on behalf of his deceased brother
has made application to me for his arrears of pay &c — Major Rudolph
stands charged in my office as will appear by the enclosed account
with considerable sums of money, drawn by him for the use of the
Legion which it is necessary should be accounted for before his
certificate can be granted —
Mr Rudolph suggests that his brothers vouchers for the
expenditures and payment of this money were lost or carried away
by Saynard Henderson who deserted and took along with him Major
Rudolphs baggage and refers me to you for such information as
you possess on the subject. So much depends on this information you will
much oblige me by furnishing me with it as early as convenient —
