Sir Mr. Rudolph in behalf of his deceased Brother has made application to sue for his arrears of pay &c — Major Rudolph Stands Charged in my office — as will appear by the enclosed acct with Considerable Sums of money - drawn by him for the Use of the Legion — which it is necessary should be accounted for before Major R. Can Receive his certificates - can be granted — Mr Rudolf The Brother suggests that his Brothers vouchers, for the expenditure, and payment of this money - was were Lost - or Carried away by Sergt Henderson who deserted and took along with him Majr. Rudolphs Baggage — and refers me to you Sir, for I wish information the such information, as you can give possess on the Subject what I wish you would [undecipherable] do me the honor to give [undecipherable] be enabled to form so much depends on the information you will must oblige me, Pay recruiting [undecipherable] as early as convenient The Honble.
