Jackson [Copied] New York June 6 1786 Sir, As you are accountable for the money paid to your order, and it will be necessary that you produce the receipts of the Regiment to discharge you - if you forward on these receipts I shall endeavor to close your accounts with out your personal attention. You do not mention any thing in your Letter of the 29th of May, this recomend you account for the money paid you by Colo. Brooks. I am sir Your Obedt Servt.
