Office of Army accounts New York June 4 1786 D Sir Inclosed are enclosed the certificates due to Cap Adams for while his Brother has receipted to me, — I have not returned them in my hands & inclosed t them to you as I find charges against the Cols [undecipherable]accounted for, and are what I did not have with certainty whether you had [undecipherable] that you was possessed of when you enclosedforwarded their accounts and whether they had are still to his debit - I wish you to be so kind as to transmit his [undecipherable] inform yourself as their business & to deliver the certificates if you find that the whole monies charged have been accounted for. PS he has given me an order to send the certificates out you, & I wish therefore that you woud take his receipt for the same when you deliver them. Jas. [or Jno] White
