I do not know under what circumstances [undecipherable] yet [undecipherable] were continued after the regiment was disbanded[,] for [if] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] altered, they cannot come under the before mentioned resolutions. A commission [or] power of attorney [acknowledged] before [a magistrate] is sufficient not only for any person to receive from me, the [undecipherable] due to the late [Army].
