Whites busafs, lays him [undecipherable] under particular [undecipherable: probable reading — obligation] [strikethrough: I cannot forward you the certificates on the] balances due to the Officers & Soldiers whose accounts you forwarded, nless it will be necessary that they give orders in favor of some person to [strikethrough: receive] them, that in case of accidents I may not make myself personally responsible for their conveyance to you. I think it best that if you [undecipherable] find some person coming on to this place who will take your papers, or send them in the [undecipherable] after [undecipherable] I shall in the course of a week or two send on Mr [undecipherable] a gentleman of my office to receive, the Papers belonging to the new [undecipherable] in your [undecipherable] — I hope they will be ready on his arrival.
