New York 29th March 1786.
Sir
Your several Letters with their enclosures have been received — The Certificate returned from your for accounts unsettled is ready to be delivered to you on your order — As the expense attending a personal application would be as much as the Certificate is worth, you may draw an order on John Pierce Esqr Payable in my favor, and on my obtaining the Certificate will send it to you as soon as a good conveyance will offer, or deliver it to whom you may please to direct —
Any letters to me of a public nature you will please to put under cover to Mr Pierce.
I am, Dr Sir,
Your Sincerely
J. Howell Junr
