I am now in this City endeavouring to settle with the Comptroller General for the depreciation of my pay, pray if there is any thing in your power that can facilitate my settlement I beg you will forward it by Cap. Erskine who does me the favor to wait upon you for the purpose Your old fellow prisoner Captain Luke Broadhead has given me a power to settle for him pray put it into my power if possible and serve an honest poor man.
