Sir
I had the honor to receive your letter a few days ago, dated Pittsburgh, Feby 7th 1786.
I will be much obliged to you, to forward to me, as soon as possible, a return of the artillery, arms, ammunition, and other public stores, now at the falls of the Ohio, in order that I may be enabled to report to Congress, whether it will be for the public interest, to purchase any of them, on the terms you mention.
Please understand, that arms and stores, which were loaned by the United States to the Commonwealth of Virginia, have been sent [undecipherable]. Perhaps, Sir, you could give me information [undecipherable]; and could inform me, whether any [undecipherable] [undecipherable] by you, or does from this State [undecipherable]
