[Some] matters while [leaving] the day rendered to me has [the] [account] of advances to the Officers of [his] Corps, I enclose you a copy of the [same], and wish to be informed what any [of] and what sums of the money [have] been accounted for, by him, [undecipherable], or [undecipherable] I [live] [undecipherable] either or [his/her would] by the State— I wish also to be informed [undecipherable] of the names of said Officers contained [therein] as have not settled their accounts, and whether [then] [settled have] [they] any [who] tendered any arrears yet [due them from] [when] a deduction may be made of the, amount and part of their charges [against them] — and as the last Article has not particularized the persons or sum which must be accounted for I wish you [may] obtain from the [Payors of the State], or others information as may lead me to a knowledge to [when] the account the [same] is to be charged— Has [undecipherable] Bill of Maryland settled [the] depreciation with the State of Virginia?
