West Point 28^th Feb^y 1786 [S^r] I have Sent by M^r Timothy Holsham the Returns of Ordnance and Quarter Masters Stores for the month of July 1780 — I have given M^r James Marcon a the Certificate for Eleven hundred Stands of Arms, which makes One thousand he has Gone — As there is no Markem about the place that can Value the frame Building, nor any Accurate Included I have noted the places where the Building Stood, that I partys in the Dimensions of that Scale, and St Knighton he Limes in New York formerly of Captⁿ Collins Company of Artificers knows it better than any About here, he Limes at the upper end of William Street. If not inconsistent with your Arrangements I wish that an Officer might be Sent here to take Charge of the Men — Humbly &c [S^r] The Honourable Major Gen^l Knox Secretary at War — West Point 10 March 1786 [S^r] Agreeable to Contract made with M^r James Morrison — I Certifys that the Said James Marcon has Clared Five Hundred Stands of Arms for the North State at Eightien Ninety together of a Deliver Parke and is entitled to Receive Thirty Seven pounds Ten Shillings for the Same at the War Office in New York ten days after this Certificate is Perpetated — which makes up the number of fifteen hundred he has Clared — I am &c — The Honourable Major Gen^l Knox Secretary at War — New York —
