West Point 2⁵ Juny 1786 — 21 Agreeable to your Letter of Nov 4^th 85 I made a Contract with M^r. James Manners to [undecipherable] all the New [undecipherable] that [undecipherable] of repairs at [undecipherable] of a Dollar each — This Certify that the said James Manners has [undecipherable] two hundred Stands of Arms for the United States at [undecipherable] of a Dollar Each; And is entitled to receive [undecipherable] six Shillings for the same — at the War Office in New York in ten days after this Certificate is Presented — Yours & To the Honorable Major Gen Knox Secretary at War, New York West Point 25 Juny 1786 — Sir I have sent by the Bearer M^r. [undecipherable] the returns of Ordnance and [undecipherable] Stores for the month of May 1786 — I have given M^r.
