Seymours regiment — the Field & Staff Officers were not paid with the regiment, nor do I find [undecipherable] it is reasonable to suppose that [undecipherable] any were intitled to it, would not rest satisfied without their money. there was no Deduction for any monies received by the regiment on account — if it is necessary I can furnish you with the copies of the Pay Rolls both of the sum aller [undecipherable] those allowed & disallowed tho' it will be a work of some extent — Elisha Phelps papers are at Albany — I have applied to the Board of Treasury who made and [undecipherable] them — when they answer I shall answer the rest of your letter relating to his business.
