Robinson on the subject of Cap Coes pay as superintending officer, should they you will be kind enough to forward and you'll oblige Joseph Howell — Hon. John Bayard Esq^r. New York January 6 1786 Dear Sir, Your favor of the 23 Dec. last with its enclosures came to hand — Agreeable to your request I now enclose you the Certificates of pay due Cap. John Hughes, also those of Sergt. William [undecipherable] — these Gentlemen were of the Quota of your State, and the Certificates obtained agme from Major [undecipherable] in consequence of some charges the State of Maryland had against them those charges. Maryland credits these Gentlemen and their Certificates in [undecipherable] things as you will observe by the enclosed Account, which I thought proper to transmit for the information of the [undecipherable] concerned — You will please to transmit me a receipt for the Certificates — I thank you for your attention in forwarding my request, and by a continuance and [undecipherable] of your favors — M^r.
