I enclose you on 9th Instant that I had sent by Mr Isaac Garrison one hundred & fifteen Wagon Covers, but he de[undecipherable]ed me about the trifle, and this is the first oppertunity that Las offered since, they being for Buckley that Could not sent then. Since I have had Charge of the Men at this Place that have Deserted five from Connecticut [who] was on Guard at Constitution Island, and five from the [undecipherable] Corps, I have sent Parties out after them —

I wrote you on 9th of Decemr [undecipherable], the Necessity of a Physician to come and attend the sick at this place — there is some Sick here at present but I have not Call'd when any one to attend them at York —
One of the recruiting [Sarg]ents in Connecticut has but one man and is unfit for a Soldier by reason of a Continual running from [undecipherable] Descent so that he Cannot wear his Accoutrements, he was [undecipherable] by Baron Steuben upon the Same Account [undecipherable] — I shall not give him any Clothing till you Permit me — he is Very wishing to be Disharged and his exceeds nothing from the Publick —
