told me of your good intentions to
get my account properly settled with
Mr McElagan, for which I return you
my warmest acknowledgments & shall
ever remember these Favors with gratitude
I write by this oppy to Mr McElagan
& send my letter enclosed to My friend
& Partner Mr Nickols now in Philada
if this should find you in that City
you will further oblige me by any com-
munications on this subject that you
may make to Mr Nickels
