I have sent by Mc Connelly the Pay abstract for the Detafsion employ'd at this place for the months of August past unto Octr 1785 — of Confinement I should be glad to have the Money first part as the men immediately upon their Disfemission, as in the Course of the months they have Contracted some Debts for the Subsistance of their Families which they expect to pay before they leave this place —
On the 28th of this month there will be but one more of Capt John flints Company on duty by reason of their times expiring — was to be informed who I must apply for for men to work and Guard, the Garrison after that period.
This is four Wood was left by Col Pickering for the use of the Garrison, and there is no forage at Deposit for them, please to let me know within the whole or part Shall be kept and if kept, in what manner they Shall be Supplied, and the quantity for daily allowance.
In the estimate made for wood when you was here there was no allowance made for the Garison, that meet the Right of Confederation Blends, Fort Clinton & Putnam. Nor any allowance made for Negro Servants the winter inferring, neither the Officers & men that is like to be here after the last of this month. Exclusive of the one Officer my Self and Thirty five men which the estimate was made for — please to inform me how far the deficiences must be Supplied.
There is a hundred and several of Boggon Covers here which if they are not disposed for Some other Partition will make good Beds to Cover the men, as it is and within too Short [strikethrough: dock] to make large Boats — I received three Bales of Knapsacks and a fumar box of Medicines by McSean I am for &c
