Dunscomb Sept.^r 23. 1785 Copied] North September 23 1785 Dear Sir I can not forbear acknowledging the receipt of yours of the 10 Instant, tho I am not [undecipherable] than what you have already received from your Brother and myself — I should advise you to urge the matter with delicacy & prudence when you come here (that will be best if possible) and you may yet meet with some — tho [his] [undecipherable] manner is not [undecipherable], but he may be brought to reason by moderation which if not used towards him will prevent your obtaining the disputed demand.
