White Sep^t. 21. 1785 Copied] New York September 21 1785 Dear Sir Some time since you mentioned requested of me directions in what manner Lieut Luchetta detachment should be settled for after the 10^th day of July 1784 which has not been in my power to answer until [this] time, the [undecipherable] War having decided that his pay should commence [undecipherable] that pay of [undecipherable] July 10 1784 in Species, which I have accordingly [paid] him, and the soldiers will looks to him for their [payment] I have deducted two months pay paid him on account, but have not made or taken deductions from the pay of the men, it being supposed to have been [undecipherable] [by] J^no. White Esquire
