War Office September 21st: 1785 Sir The Hospital at West Point having [indecipherable - text torn away] consequence of the Order [indecipherable - text torn away] 7th: June last recommending it to the several States to provide for the Invalids of their respective Lines; I have sent round by Captain Wade the bearer John Hilt formerly a Soldier of the Pennsylvania Line, whom I beg leave to recommend to your Excellencys care and attention as an object of great humanity -

  • being in every respect helpless, I am very sure your Excellency will readily give orders that he be properly taken care of.
