Dr Sir
As you have assisted the greatest part of my Pay out already, I would invite you to do the remainder — If it be necessary that I should attend for that purpose this Season, it would be most agreeable to me, if convenient for you, to do it before the warm weather is past — If the Business could be deferred until next Spring, it would suit me better; however, rather than run the risque of not having my accounts settled by you I would attend this Season —
I am, Sir, with respect,
Your Obt Hbl Servt
Capt Howell Jos. Weston

Sir,
The bearer says he is brother of Patrick Ambrose, he hath administered upon his said Brothers Estate, he applies for his Pay, says he was discharged at Trenton, by the Pay kept by the Commandant at Trenton he is not returned discharged — I have not any Certificate for his Pay after August 1780, nor do I find that any Certificate was delivered for him to Bowen & Beatty, wherefore the adjustment of the Claim will be with you —
I am Sir,
Your most obdt Servant
Jos: Nicholson
