Regarding efforts to keep troops in service past expiration of enlistments, and matters of pay
Document 1785LtCol Harmar writes to John Armstrong to inform that every exertion will be made to keep the troops in service past the expiration of their enlistments. Harmar also asks the Council to protect against the depreciation of the pay promised to the troops. Harmar adds that he supports the legislative reconsideration of the recent reduction in officer's pay.
