D Sir I have been informed by William Thompson late Lieut of the 9^th Penn^a Reg. that at a settlement with the Auditors of the Army he accounted for the money rec^d of this State for the recruiting service in the Year 1778. You will much oblige me by giving a Certificate of the sums of Money therein charged to him rec^d from Pennsylvania and the dates that so I may be enabled therefrom to give credit to Cap.
