Just received your last letter — In answer can only observe 373 Comes on now and that the papers/[undecipherable] of Hamiltons is all right charge the same to me — Sum seek with an Intermittant and incapable of doing business — am quite low — but my Clerk is very industrious and the army business does not suffer — Jack is young — and Crop work it is — My every (and only) Exertions towards furnishing me with Certificate paper — If Mr Pierce does not arrive for any, Sene on this one Leave Direct Post.

Inclosed you will receive a letcous of the Morris Notaive [undecipherable] me in settlement of the accounts of the late Line of Penna amounting to 57,682¾ dollars which sum is carried to the Credit of the state in the books of the Paymt. You will observe I have not Credited the monies advanced to Capt Wiley & Jordan, this arose from their neglect in not inserting those advances in their Accounts & my supposing they would receive Commutation from which I generally deducted them, I shall however call on them
