May 30. 1785 Dear Sir Agreeing to your request of the 10^th instant (which reached me on saturday evening) I have inclosed you duplicate receipts of the Gentlemen of the Office for their salaries, those of M^r De Witt & M^r Owen I presume may answer. You may be advised you shall have early intelligence of M^r Pierce's arrival which I flatter myself will be on Sunday next — with the Room you have is very large it will not be sufficient for the Office.
