[N^o 106] Philadelphia 10 May 1785 Sir By a line from Cap^t Jonathan Dayton of the Jersey line I find there were two Certificates issued to him by M^r Pierce that are not included in the returns sent you; they are as follows N^o 62,887 dated the 1^st June 1784 for 432 ⁷⁰/₉₀ Doll^rs on Interest from 1^st Jan^ry 1782, & N^o 62,888 date same day for six hundred & four Dollars bearing interest from the 1^st Jan^ry 1785. The above Certificates were granted for his pay & subsistence as P.D. Major. James Mott Esquire Joseph Howell J^r Philad^a 10 May 1785 Sir Agreeably to your request of the 30^th pr^t last I have sent to M^r Mott Treas^r of Jersey &c. return of the two Certificates issued to pay & subsistence as P.D.
