By a line from Capt Jonathan Dayton of the Jersey line I find there were two Certificates issued to him by Mr Pierce that are not included in the returns sent you; they are as follows No 62,887 dated the 1st June 1784 for 432 70/90 Dollrs on Interest from 1st Janry 1782, & No 62,888 date same day for six hundred & four Dollars bearing interest from the 1st Janry 1785. The above Certificates were granted for his pay & subsistence as P.D. Major.
