D. Sir

Your favor of the 22. [undecipherable] (with the duplicate) I received the 14. Ins.t. We have received no Order for remov= =ing the Office, and Mr. Milligan informs me he has no directions to order us, I could wish to stay here until your arrival as there are a Number of Accounts in my hands for settlement and others coming in daily, indeed I find as much to do as when you were with us, however if it is your wish to meet the Office at N. York please to inform me as soon as possible and you may depend it will be complied with as well as every care to be taken of the papers. Enclosed is a Copy of Col. Morris a/c as settled at the Treasury, as also a rough sketch of what is due him, I find he is allowed the pay of a Major and no more. His Commission as Lt Colonel is by Brevet & Resolve of Congress of the 9 Sept. 1778
