A certain John Coo[undecipherable: probable reading Coon] of this State has fraudulently obtained his depreciation twice from the Auditor he belonged to [undecipherable] in Hazens Reg^t untill the close of the war. I are therefore to request that you will be so kind as to write to Cap^t Lloyd the Agent and request him to [undecipherable] Retain the Certificates in his hands that Justice may be rendered the state of maryland.
