He staid but one day with me having fortunately met with a passage to Savannah since which I have not heart from him. I inform’d you in my former Letter that I had forwarded your’s to Mr Johnson at Beaufort since which I have seen him there and am sorry to tell you that you have very little probability of receiving your Money from him, he told he owed you no money that he paid you long since in Philadelphia that however he would look over his Books and if he found he had not discharged that Debt, he would pay you himself in the Spring, as he was then going to your City. I have received from Mr. Weyman forty dollars for warrant. [indecipherable] 40 which from I have placed in the hands of Mr. Aertson he has wrote Mr. Farrell to pay it to you as soon as he receives his Salary due the 1st. Jan.
