Philada28 Jany. 1785 Sir Inclosed is a return of the noncommissioned officers of privates of the Quota of the State of N.York belonging to the Legion commanded by Lt. Col. Henry Lee - As I am settling their accounts to the time of their several discharges I must beg of you to inform me by the next Postor as soon as possible if those Men have had any settlement with your state and to what period - this request is in consequence of information that the State of N York has made a settle 22 Settlement with their Line to the 1 Jany. 1781 and the accounts now presented by the agent of that Corps commences from the 1 Aug. 80 Your compliance will particularly Obligr Yours [undecipherable} T Curtoriurs J Howell Junr.
