Sirs Pay Office Philada 6th Jany 1785 I do myself the honor to transmit you a copy of the registers of the late line of New Jersey from No 8109 to 9,702 inclusive, also a copy of the Registers of Settlements made by Individual Officers of the Jersey line – There a number of men that belong’d to Col Spencer’s Col. Lee Genl Hazins of the Invalid Regimt’s that were Citizens of Jersey, whose ac- counts have been liquidated, but for the want of the proper returns, I am not able for the present to ascertain who they are if this can be done you may rest assured the residue shall be forwarded those - now sent with the former include the whole line as they stood when the army was discharged: You will exceedingly oblige me by a line acknowledging the receipt of the registers.
