Baltimore 19th November 1784.
My dear Sir
The enclosed papers were committed to my care by General Greene. I imagine Capt Pendleton encloses, in his letter to you, the Vouchers which he conceives necessary for the fulfillment of his Accts. If you had know whether you can with propriety go into the matter before you take up the Accounts of the Officers of the Virginia Line — If you can, and you have any thing to pay Pendleton, I will receive it in Virtue of an Order of which I enclose you a Copy — If you come again to Baltimore do not be so much in a hurry as you were before — I wish to talk over a thousand matters past, and to communicate on ten thousand to come — there must be merely in future — But I can tell you certainly and truly the same
of Sincere [undecipherable] of Affe. Salut.
Your & My [undecipherable] on
his own right — and not as
formerly My the Excellency's friend
