If I remember right it appeared by your certificates from Col. Livingston and the Musters & Returns of the Regiment; that you retired in June 1779 on one years pay; and that you have not been in the service since that time — and that therefore the Resolve of April 10^th 1780 which promises the depreciation does not extend to you — Your claim must be reduced to this point, whether you were or were not in service on the 10^th of April 1780 — and are included in the resolution of that day — [strikethrough: If nothing] This answer is not satisfactory You had best, as you insinuate, to apply to some other quarter, as I cannot depart from it.
