In answer to yours of the first Instant, I beg leave to inform you we shall not forget the subsistence of your garrison — I have Advanced to Capt McWharton (in Goal here) sixteen Dollars and shall send you the receipt as soon as a proper opportunity presents — if you have any money in your hands I wish you to stop it, if not, I wish you to stop it from what shall be due to him in future —
