Subsequent to my resigning, my Commission in the Corps of Sapper & Miners and previous to the Settlement of my Accounts with the State of Connecticut I went to your Office to obtain a Certificate of all Monies I had received, and you some time in the year 1782 sent [undecipherable] [undecipherable: probable reading "M.
